i tried making changes to layout file default.xml, in vain.

You can do that by 2case:
+ Add both module “content-mass-bot” position.
+ You can change css on position only support a module assign this positionOpen templates/ja_teline_iv/css/template.css
change

border-top: 0 none;

yep, default “content-mass-bot” position in JA Teline IV template have two columns.

i wanted it to go next to it (in the empty space) not below the first module
