I’ve just started setting up this site http://www.christiandanceworld.com/

I am confused about where the images come from for the content slider and how to get them to scroll.

I created a category in the News section and have set it to that category in the content slider module. Then I added 5 content items set to that category, each of which contains an image. Is that how this works or am I all mixed up?

3 of the images appear, but they do not scroll either direction. I have Use Ajax set to yes. I’ve set Include Mooltools to both yes and no, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

The problem is because you set your live site url to http://christiandanceworld.com/ while browsing http://www.christiandanceworld.com/. You could change your live site url to http://www.christiandanceworld.com. Set Use Ajax to “no” also fix this problem.
