    Hi everyone,

I’m using JA Lead and trying to use content slider to display six clothes collections. I put all the six articles in Section:collections -> Category:collections. In content slider module setting I select collections/collections.

But on the web page, only one item is displayed. Should I modify any files? I think this module works out of box.

Oh, by the way, I installed Joomla using quick install in the download package. I don’t know if I need to add “var $absolute_path” thing or not.

After I found out this is not working, I uninstalled this module and re-installed it, changed settings, but still didn’t work.

Please help me. Thanks very much.

Ah, it seems the problem goes away by itself. Does the module need some time to “read” all the items in a category?

You may need to clear your cache or wait for it to expire (15 mins default)

Thanks for your opinion. In fact, I clear cache and purge expired cache everytime I change settings. Except this “only one item” problem, other setting changes take effect immediately, e.g, show/hide title, or image height/width.

This is a common problem with the CONTENT SLIDER. The articles need to be published YESTERDAY (whenever yesterday was).

    For example, if you:
    -install the Content Slider today
    -publish 4 articles today
-add them to the Content Slider
-the CS only shows one article.

For the others to show, go into the articles and change their published date to a previous day.

We love the JA_Lead template…it’s very beautifully done, but has cost us quite a bit of time in hammering out the oddities and making it work cross-browser.

I went through all of these content slider posts and found the one small tidbit that allowed the slider to work. If you have 2 articles in the designated section/category, the “Number Elements” has to be set to “1”.

Okay…it works, but that’s kind of hokey. Can this be fixed so it actually displays the correct ‘Number of Elements”?

    Thanks!
