Hi,
I’ve been playing with the content slider extension for a while now. There are a few issues that I have trouble with, and I hope you can help:
1. Thumbs stretched
In the parameters, I can enter image sizes. The actual size of my images are different, so the images are resized. Unfortunately “Thumbnail Mode” and “Resize With The Ratio” settings are ignored, and thumbs are always stretched. (Also, the image quality of the resized images isn’t very good, but that’s a different problem)
2. I’d like to show featured K2 items only. There is currently no such option. Is there a workaround, or can I hope that you will add that option soon?
3. There is no option to set a margin in between the items, so they touch. Ugly. I can set up the CSS, of course, but that will not be flexible, so whenever I change any parameter that affects the item width or item count, I have to redo the CSS.Thank you!

Hello wdburgdorf,1. Can you send PM to me with your site information (your site URL, your site admin account) and your FTP account? So I can diagnose this problem.
2, 3. As of now, JA Content Slider does not support these options yet. All its features are shown as demo site.
BTW, please include this forum thread URL in your PM, so I can follow it.
Best regards.
June 26, 2012 at 8:12 pm #458946Hi Stork,
Thanks for your quick reply. I’m still working on the site locally, not online yet. I’ll gladly send you a link when it’s online and the problem persists.
About margins: if the items had classes “first” and “last”, it would not be too hard to work out some suitable CSS code. But since they are only numbered, it is a real problem. If you don’t think this will be added anytime soon, I’ll have to figure it out myself …
About featured items: I would not expect this to be too difficult, just an additional parameter in the query. But I have not had a look at the tables yet. Maybe I underestimate it. But if you don’t want to work on this, then I’ll try myself …
Thanks again, Best regards.
