Hello… sorry this is a very newbie question, but I seem to not be able to find an answer to my problem. When I want to populate my home-1 position with different articles, images, video, and text, I can’t see to find where I can position them on my home-1.

In other words, I have followed all the direction for “6. Content Type Settings” in the documentation (http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-fixel), but it doesn’t tell you how to actually get the articles on the homepage/home-1. Do I create a module and then associate the article with it? Am I missing something? Please help. Thank you!

As you can see our demo, Homepage displays multiple content types and grid type in each article. To do that, please follow steps as below:

Go to Administrator–> Content –> Article Manager –> Add New Article

Thank you for the reply, but like I mentioned before, I have already looked at the documentation for the content type. I know how to make a new article, but how do I get it to show up on the home1 position? Also, how do you customize where the articles go (i.e. module class suffix) like you do for your banners?

Home-1 position is not shown in position within Module Manager. You need follow these steps:

Open the templates/ja_fixel/templateDetails.xml file:

Change

<position>bookmark-jshopping</position>

To

<position>bookmark-jshopping</position>
<position>home-1</position>

To show articles in JA Fixel Template, you have two options below:

+ Using Menu Item with Menu Item Type: Featured Articles -> Select Categories: Load category that need being shown from Article Manager

+ Using the Joomla article modules with Home-1 position to load articles with Module Class Suffix: grid-1×1, grid-2×1, grid-2×2.
