Hi,

I’ve set a number of modules on JA Magz on the frontpage. Basically, I want to be able to manually control what appears in each and every part of the frontpage.

For example you can see there are a number of “sections”

1. Freebies
2. WP Themes
3. Main Content

I want to be able to decide what to show in Freebies, WP Themes, and Main Content. Right now I’m using Featured Articles to control what appears, but due to this the content in the FreeBies, WP Themes and main content is repetive. I’d like to be able to manually specify what goes into each and every section.

Can I get some guidance on doing this? This is how a “Magazine” template should work – I should have the ability to manually decide what goes where.

Please get me a illustrated screenshot, so that I can understand the issue more clearly. I will help you to check it further.

See attached: https://shu.yt/djo11

I want to be able to manually decide which articles are actually shown in each of the displayed areas.

The modules at the top, will probably contain information from specific categories, however the main content (bottom) will have a featured article which can be from any category.

Essentialyl, I want to be able to decide which posts I want to show. I don’t want to show most recent or most popular posts only, I want to be able to decide which posts I want to show in each part of the frontpage.

Thanks
David

I could not access backend of your site with the credentials included on thread. But you can check with module ID below

+ WordPress Themes: module ID 167
+ Freebies: module ID 165
+ Wp themes: module ID 152

It’s very hard to suggest the config for each of them without checking the backend site.

Is there any update please? It’s been a really long time since this case has been open.

I checked directly backend of your site and now you can control to add the item into each category below.

+ WordPress Themes: module ID 167 is using JA Slideshow module with WordPress themes category
+ Freebies: module ID 165 is using Module Articles – Category with Freebies category
+ Wp themes: module ID 152 is using Module Articles – Category with Wp themes category

Great – we’re making some progress.

Now – need to improve the look of the frontpage modules, so need to show a bit of an image on the article intro – to get the look and feel of the documentation of JA Magz such as the Articles Category where there is an image shown for the article: http://www.joomlart.com/documentation/joomla-templates/ja-magz#extensions-config

Do I need to specify that in the article intro image, or if not, can you guide me on how to do that please?

I check directly on your site and see you are using JA Slideshow module to load data from article

If you want to load the video from article, you need to change the configuration on your site

and add into article

Pellentesque habitant morbi tristique senectus et netus et malesuada fames ac turpis egestas. Vestibulum tortor quam, feugiat vitae, ultricies eget, tempor sit amet, ante. Donec eu libero sit amet quam egestas semper
