i noticed that

when i enabled category filter in module settings and try to search on the search page with out select a child category

the system crashes and gets 500 – internal server error with

PHP Strict Standards: Declaration of JParameter::loadSetupFile() should be compatible with JRegistry::loadSetupFile() in XXXXXXXXXXXXXX/data/libraries/joomla/html/parameter.php on line 512

but when i select the child category all is fine.

how can i set a default child category?
