Hi guys,

I’m just getting started with the JA Builder, but like what I see sofar.
I have one question: How do I create a default layout for my whole site?
The demo and docs are not really showing this. I’ve looked into the Joomla-Templates – JA Builder styles but I can’t find the default page. My "Advanced" tab is empty??? Is that correct?
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi Victor,

JA Builder supports Import / Export feature with which you can simply export a page you wish as default page to a file, then when you edit another page, use import function, it will load exported file to that page.

Not exactly what I was hoping for. It would be great if you could create a layout that is used for the whole site without export/import. I’m currently working on an existing site with lots of pages and don’t like doing that for each page.

For wordpress I’m also using some page builders and they let you create a template in the backend and asign it as a default page. For the pages that need another layout you can create another template and asign it to that page. Maybe something for the future updates?

Hi Victor,

Yes, it’s normal way in other JoomlArt templates also. But the initial idea of Builder is that we want to provide a flexible way to create different pages. We provide the Import / Export feature for that duplicate layout option, it actually need some simply clicks.

Anyway, I will put to the team for further discussion.
