    Hi Joomlart,

being a member of the template clubs is really awesome but sometimes we found that the template that we really interested is not given us any features that we need but we can find the features that we need in other ja template.and the problem is hard to combine there feature to be one in our template that we like.

for example what i means is :

Ja mageia is really professional template and it is really lovely design that i ever seen in ja template club but it just stuck in one options, and we can not change the header images to module position ( to put any module there ) otherwise we have to smart in recode it.

and we can found the feature like the module position ( ja slideshow ) in ja nerine. which the ja mageia don,t has,

the problem in those cases is when we want the features in ja nerine ( module position for ja slideshow ) to be there in ja mageia, then we need to re code it.

what i want to suggestion here is :

when you create a template for example here is Ja Mageia, you must give any option of it

    Ja mageia :

Option A : Ja mageia with Header menu images ( like the ja mageia design now )

Option B : Ja Mageia with the header module position(we can put any module, for instance is Ja slideshow))

so when we buy the template we have any option that we can choose to suit what we need and we don,t need to ask any help of re coding anymore.

and this should not the same price as you cost now, but you can make the price more high. maybe you can cost us for US$80 – $100 / JATC Standard Membership – 3 months

and i personally do pay it for US$150. for JATC Standard Membership – 3 months
and for other membership plan is your own cost…

this is just a suggestion, takes it if you feel it worthy.

    My best regards

Mixing and matching template features is “easy” but even easier within a Template Club environment. However, if you are not confident, you may want to ask someone who is confident with it to do it for you 🙂

    Hi MuffinDCC,

The questions and suggestions posed in this thread are the same issues that many of us with no scripting or programming background. If there are good “how to’s” for each feature, even if I have no background, usually I eventually find my way in doing it.

Personally, I prefer it that way because I want to learn new stuff aside from just creating pages. Once I become famiiiar with the process, I am also better able to communicate how I want done to more experienced people. Asking people also has limits.

Generic suggestions in forum — that is tantamount to telling a grade 1 child to go to the library, when (s)he asks very specific questions — is useless and frustrating. To be blunt, some responses to the questions asked here are like that.

People would wear you out if they keep on asking you to help them set up something.

Having said that, I understand, from your profile that you are one of the experts, would you consider helping out then, to help modify the JA Teline, to convert it to a more suitable template that will be used for several hundreds (if not thousands eventually) of non-profit websites?

In fact, I have been interested in initiating collaborative internet projects that would be intended for community empowerment at the local level. While I have a broad and general outline of where I wanted to go, I am not a programmer nor am I a webdesigner, so those limitations — such as creating a model template (and more) — impede the jumpstart of a number of projects.

Please leave me a private message if you are interested and something you would want to participate in.

    Thanks.

    Cornelio
