November 9, 2010 at 9:16 am #156230It´s my first time in your club (come from the rockettheme club) and I have great expectations, but now after a few days template testing I am a little bit disappointed.
Why are the templates are so buggy? There are to many problems with your template Teline III, but you didn´t fix it since the last year. I don´t know why.
And your support: It is not really there. The support forum is not for support I think, because of waiting too long to get a answer or to get no answer. And your ticket support didn´t runs, because I can´t open the answered ticket. get a failure message that I have no access.
And your requirement for your support is not really secure: You want the completly access to the user site. I don´t know waht other users think, but this is not possible, because of the data privacy and content secure.
Another point is your site: It´s to hard to visit it. You need a smooth mouse cursor, because of your extremly menus. There are on the top and on the bottom and open, open, open. But they don´t close directly. Sorry I must say this: It nerves.
You have fantastic designed templates, but you must work at your support and bugfree.

November 9, 2010 at 9:31 am #362068It would be great if you could tell us what bugs you are finding in Teline III and which version you are using (V1 or V2 etc). If you can provide details then the developers can take a look.
Support wise please also tell us what problems you are having with the ticket system. It is true that the forums are not the best place for support and that is always stated. The premium support system had been in use for a long time and has worked well for a very large percentage of the JA users.
The requirements for support are not set in stone. It is often impossible to fix some problems without getting full access for many reasons. There are also many users who are new to web development and those users really do appreciate the time given by supporters logging onto their sites and fixing their problems.. That is something that will never change. If you really do not want to pass on the information then you will need to provide all the required information. The more the better as without it we all struggle to help.
Your final point on the smooth mouse? I really do not see where you are coming from on that point. Which particular menu’s do you seem to be having problems navigating with?

November 9, 2010 at 8:13 pm #362160I am sorry to have to say that I agree 100% with proterra post! many bugs, many troubles, many stuff that need to be fixed! and still other comes!
Want a short list?
1) the main menu and the topmenu coincide and it could be fixed with the help of a licensed member
2) in some parts of the site the right and left columns mixes with conte-top and happen that it appears at the bottom
3) I solved, thanks to a licensed member, point 1 and now the directory I have installed in the site disappeared (it does not show anymore) I HAVEN’T MODIFIED EITHER THE DIRECTORY MENU OR THE SOBI2 COMPONENT. It worked before and stopped working after fixing point one!and sorry if this is just the beginning! I have used this template for just one week!
I like your template, I am using Ja Teline III v2 but I am starting to be disappointed and the tickets submitted! well still keep on waiting…🙁

November 9, 2010 at 8:39 pm #362168Hello proterra,
Yesterday you asked this question:
<em>@proterra 202273 wrote:</em><blockquote>Same problem: The “You are here” is out of function? Where is the breadcrumb?</blockquote>
An answer to the thread was given afterwards, but today you asked again in a new thread:<blockquote>Don´t see the Breadcrumb Menu. Only see the words “You are here”. How can I fix that? Or how can I delete that words?</blockquote>
Well, you can find an answer to the second question in yesterdays thread, here is an answer to the first:
1 Go to Extensions>Module manager
2 Click on new
3 Select Breadcrumbs among the available module types
4 Enable the module, assign it to the breadcrumbs position, assign it to the menus where you want it to appear (probably all) and under parameters give the name for your home page.
5 Click Apply or Save.In another post today you stated that you had installed the JaZine plugin and then deleted it.
<blockquote>Now I want to install it again, but I can´t do it. get the failure message, that the plugin is still there.</blockquote>I think you shouldn’t have “deleted” the plugin. It is supposed to be uninstalled. See if you can still do that the proper way – Extensions>Install/Uninstall>Plugins. Look for a plugin named JA Section menu plugin, mark it and click the Uninstall icon.
Generally, it’s always a good idea to look for answers already given to your questions. Use the search field on every forum page. People get tired of answering the same question again and again.
And another thing: When the website doesn’t behave as wanted, the reason is seldom “buggy templates”. At least that’s what I have found, after spending several weeks trying to get up and running.
Good luck to you!

November 9, 2010 at 8:43 pm #362169Antonio, please provide details of your tickets and I will take a look. I am struggling to understand your writing due to our language differences. It might be even harder for some of the devs as non native English speakers. Try and be as detailed as possible and post links etc detailing any changes you have made

November 9, 2010 at 9:11 pm #362174One more!
4) I have installed right away: ja news and ja news fp. I do not know the reason but if you click on http://www.theflorencenewspaper.com/news.html the only thing possible to be seen is the following article: “joomla announcements” and that articles is not even among the articles I have! News is a section and it has three categories that are Local News, National News and World News… So, News on mainmenu should show those news that are in its categories! very simple! but it is not working as the directory is not either working.
I understand that we have such a gap language but please! just take the user id and psw provided and check the site … this is frustrating and it is becoming a nightmare, I swear!
I already provided you thru several tickets my user Id and Password…
🙁

November 9, 2010 at 9:28 pm #362177Please provide the ticket numbers. I am not too familiar with the ticket system as of yet and don’t seem to be able to search using username.
Also, did you install with a quickstart or did you upgrade an existing site. Please provide a link to the custom mods you have applied as that will also help.

November 10, 2010 at 11:03 am #362281OK, let us know how you get on. Try and use the quickstart as that should setup everything exactly as per the demo.

November 10, 2010 at 8:25 pm #362322I know how i uninstall plugins (I am not a joomla newbie), I delete it directly from the server, and it is still there.
The breadcrumb question: don´t see that, but i think if there a better forum search (directly search in the template boards) it is easier for the user.
whatever: the design of ypur templates are great 🙂

November 10, 2010 at 9:17 pm #362328What, you used your ftp app or whatever to directly delete the files? Of did you uninstall from the Joomla admin panel. It really does sound like you did the first which is probably why you are still having problems. If the entries are still in the database you will never be able to re-install the plugin and that would be the same with any Joomla template/plugin from any club.

Delete it first over Joomla-Backend. Later I want to reinstall it, but I can´t. Then I delete the files over my ftp client but nothing happens. But this is the wrong topic for this.

November 11, 2010 at 10:14 am #362444OK, start a fresh topic and we will look into this although I have a feeling that this has already been addressed in a bug fix.

December 19, 2010 at 10:21 am #367558After half a year I can retry my opinion: If I ask something I get no answer before I open my website for the Joomlart-Team. I didn´t know if they know the word security. I am a forsaken customer.
I am very disappointed about the products here, everys template that I tested are full of failures and bugs. My major defect in this year is to become a member here.
