I’m upgrading a site from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 3. I transferred all the data over from the old site and applied JA Kranos. The problem I’m having is that when the site is loaded from the front-end all the CSS is missing. Here is what I see as the problem:

the site is at http://www.site-name.com. the new site I’m working on is at http://www.site-name.com/j3. When I look at the code for the front-end it sets the base reference as http://www.site-name.com/js, which is as it should be. When looking at the location for the scripting in the header file it appears to be looking for it in /j3/what-ever-directory. For some reason the template is appending the /j3/ to the front of the link to the script its looking for and is, consequently, not finding any of them as the is no http://www.site-name.com/j3/j3.

Unfortunately I can find nowhere to set this or change the base URL reference. I have uninstalled the template and reinstalled it. I have also found, as was the case today, that when I left the site yesterday the css was missing. When I came back this morning and loaded the site. When I went to the back-end and tried to make template modifications (just change the setting from logo to text for the site logo) and reloaded the front-end again it disappeared again. Please help! Its driving me nuts! 🙂

JA Kranos Template and JAT3v2 framework are not compatible with JOOMLA 3.2. But I would need to take a closer look at your site, please PM me FTP account of your site. I will help you to debug this problem.

My CSS is gone also after updating to Joomla 3.2

I can’t switch templates, and wanted to know when Kranos will be compatible with Joomla 3.2

    Thanks

Actually i just upgraded to Joomla 3.2.1 which is what caused me to loose CSS. I restored my site from a week ago to 3.2.0 before the 3.2.1 update and the site renders fine, but when i go into the template manager and update any settings in Kranso, i loose the CSS again, which i have to run a restore again.

I see Kranso is not fully compatible with Joomla 3.2 yet. Any idea when it will? Also i guess you can’t roll back your joomla upgrade to 3.1 can you?

    Thanks

    Hi southpaw3229,

I am afraid that our JA Kranos template is not completely compatible with new Joomla 3.2 now. Our developement team have been working hard to upgrade 2011 templates. We do hope that the J3.2 update for Kranos will be available soon.

This might be due to the cache of Joomla system and our plugin. You can turn on the Development Mode in Template Manager >> Global, then refresh the website.

I tried enabling Development mode in the template settings, but it won’t save. It gives me a settings saved succesfully, but when i go back in to check it, it’s still set to No.

    any ideas?

    Thanks

    @ southpaw3229,

The best option in this case is to roll back to Joomla 3.1 of current JA Kranos template by extracting the site backup. Once the update of this template for Joomla 3.2 is available, you proceed upgrade again. Anyway, I am afraid for not being in a position to confirm on the release date for this update right now.
