Having paid my $70 for membership (and the right to bitch) I am simply not happy at all with how complicated and unreliable these templates are turning out to be. I just want the Portfolio template to work like the demo. I installed it from Quickstart. Shouldn’t it just work? The CSS styling does not work. Typography doesnt put blockquotes or any other image on the page.
If I cannot install it from scratch and have it work as the demo, then I do not see how you are keeping with Joomla’s mantra of free AND usable without HTML coding knowledge. Frankly, this promise made by Joomla! is not broken by them, but by these clubs.
Honestly, I have been working with Joomla! and CSS since before there was a Joomla! when it was Mambo. I rolled my own templates in the beginning. Now, I seem to fall for the bells and whistles of these everything and the kitchen sink templates. I tell you this…If I have to jump in here and beg for answers in a forum, then you got ahead of yourself with all these fancy Javascript effects and CSS “optimization”.

May 1, 2011 at 6:41 am #389245Hi we are always there to help you. Please tell us what exactly the issue you come across.
May 1, 2011 at 2:50 pm #389289Sure. Go here http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#templates.joomlart.com/ja_portfolio and notice how the articles are styled. Now go here http://dev.nolimitssolutions.com/nls/skunk-works-a-black-ops.html It is the same page from the demo, but the article has no styling. The CSS classes are still assigned to the date etc, but no styling is being applied.

May 2, 2011 at 5:56 am #3893661. this is for the date and the blog layout alignment
I fixed it. this is just a small change.
Please Go to the Menus -> Main Menu -> the NLS Blog
There you can find left Parameter Tabs.
Go to Parameters (System)
There Page Class Suffix text option was empty and now I have set it as ” portfolio-blog”
Thats it the Layout it Done.
2. This is for the text for “administrator” alignment
Open this File /templates/ja_portfolio/css/k2.css
Replace the Following code
.portfolio-blog div.catItemView {
padding: 0 30px 0 120px;
}With
.portfolio-blog div.catItemView {
padding: 0 30px 0 145px;
width: auto;
}
thats it problem over.
