May 9, 2016 at 6:23 am #928168Hi,
I use the Custom Code After and Before /Head Section to add icons or google analytics sniplet. This worked great for years. But since a few days no code from the custom code section of the template is used on the page. I checked every link in the head but it misses. I deleted the cache and disabled the template CSS and JS Optimization but nothing worked.
Maybe you could help.

May 9, 2016 at 6:57 am #928177Hi
You can try to add these custom code via the
head
block of your site:- Go to file: ROOT/templates/ja_beranis (your default template)/tpls/blocks/head.php
- Add custom code at the end of file

May 9, 2016 at 7:15 am #928183Hi Saguaros,
thanks for the reply. Sure i can hardcode it to the .php file. But every update would overwrite the changes. Is the custome code in the template admin deactivated for every or just a bug?
Thanks Oliver

May 10, 2016 at 6:48 am #928803There maybe something wrong with your server as the custom code still work at my end.
You can copy the file:
ROOT/templates/ja_beranis (your default template)/tpls/blocks/head.php
into this directory:
ROOT/templates/ja_beranis (your default template)/local/tpls/blocks/head.php
If ‘local’ folder doesn’t exist, try to create it, this folder will not be affected when you update template.

May 10, 2016 at 9:45 am #928878I used the solution you explained. now there are two copies of the google analytics links on the site. If i delete the local head.php again – both g.a. links are gone. It looks strange. Any ideas?

May 11, 2016 at 2:52 am #929210Try to keep it in local head.php and remove it in ROOT/templates/ja_beranis (your default template)/tpls/blocks/head.php folder

May 11, 2016 at 5:08 am #929263just to make it clear – i just hardcoded it in the local head.php. I didn’t change the tpls/blocks/head.php. The second instance of the google analytics sniplet seems to come from the template administration custom code fields.
