    Is there a certain CSS rule, or something within the template files, that would affect all unordered lists (ul) CSS rules throughout the template/site?

    Here’s the situation . . . .

    I have a couple of custom CSS menus that I created and have inserted into custom modules. They look/display fine outside of the template (in a test environment) – but when I publish the modules in the respective positions, they are all fouled up.

    It doesn’t seem like this should be happening, since the CSS and html should be independent of the template.css.css rules – right?

    Any thoughts … insight … advice … fixes ???

    It’s one of those things that is really bugging me and I want to fix before moving on.

    Hmmmmmmm, how did you add things?

    I put the css in the module. In other words, I basically created a html document (in dreamweaver) with the css designated for the document only.

    There seems to be some rule that is automatically inserting “bullets” into ul lists.

    Here is a rule I found in template.css.css

    ul li {
    padding-left: 30px;
    background: url(../images/bullet-list.gif) no-repeat 18px 8px;
    line-height: 180%;

    If I get rid of this rule, what do you suppose it will do throughout this site?

    :((

    PROGRESS LOG . . . .

    UPDATE I:
    I deleted the two “ul” rules in the template.css.css and, although it took care of a problem I was having with “bullets” being displayed in the Tabs & Slides plugin I am using, I am still having trouble with my left menu – which, again, is a custom CSS menu I created … the code for which is in a “PHP Custom” module assigned to the left column.

    Perhaps I will check the CSS for the left column – maybe that’s messing things up.

    UPDATE II:
    Okay, I’m almost there . . . . my left menu is doing just about everything it is supposed to – except that my sub items are not displaying in black as they should. They are displaying in grey, and then (on mouseover) white, Not making sense to me – will keep looking.

    UPDATE III – EUREKA !!!
    I figured out what was messing things up – it was the CSS within for “COL1” (aka the left column):
    For my purposes, I changed the parameters as needed and now I am one big ole’ HAPPY CAMPER !!!

    😀

    Thanks for sharing my journey with me.

    😎
