i want to be able to add the background images as you hover over example joyce meyers picture under broadcast exactly including menu layout. how much and how long?Thanks

I have checked the youtube video .This video seems to be older version of Joomla . I will suggest you to find custom joomla menu ,
You can search on http://extensions.joomla.org/ . Here you will get module or plugin for custom joomla menu.
