June 28, 2015 at 7:38 am #575706Because of the difference between JAT3 v2 and new T3 framework ( different positions, layouts, ….), if you want to use new T3 framework, you will need to disable JAT3 v2 and install new T3 framework and new JA University template. Then follow the documentation and re-configure for all modules in the new template.

June 29, 2015 at 2:47 pm #575807That’s not a problem since I just started with this template so I need to reconfigure the modules anyways…
But before I do that, I just want to confirm: do I need to “uninstall” jat3 v2 before I install the new t3 framework?? or simply just “disable” it?
I know sometimes minor difference can make a big difference in the end so I just want to make sure I’m doing this correctly. Thanks!!btw, I did install the “quick star” package on my test site, and I can see there are many difference in the backend. I can’t seem to change the color theme of the template, when I select “blue” I’m keep getting the default “black”? Here is the steps I took:
1. go into template manager
2. select the default template – Ja_University_t3 – Default
3. under “theme”, change to “blue”.
>> no change, still see black, so I went back to template manager.
4. try assign the default template to JA_University_t3 – Blue Color
>> still seeing black 🙁Please advise, thanks!!

June 30, 2015 at 2:45 am #575853Hi Emily,
You can simply disable JAT3 v2 plugin if you want to use University – T3 framework.
For the theme in the test site, in the template manager section >> your default template >> please go to ‘Assignment’ tab and make sure that this template style is assigned to the right page in which you want to have ‘blue’ theme.
If there is still no go, you can PM me URL and admin login info of your site, I will take a look.
July 1, 2015 at 4:36 am #575963Hi Saguaros,
There are still some settings won’t apply after save&close in the template manager.
For example, I can’t seem to change the logo text and slogan with the same default theme assigned to ALL menus.
Can you tell me where else should I check? Also, the most current version of T3 plugin comes with the JA university packet is “plg_system_t3.v2.4.0”, but the changelog indicates the most current version is 2.4.8. Can JA university be compatible with the T3 v.2.4.8? Should I be download the most recent version from the T3 blank download link: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=473
Thanks,

You can update the T3 last version if you want but remember to backup your site first.
With the logo text and slogan, PM me URL and admin login info of your site and tell me the page you want to show , I will check for you.

July 1, 2015 at 1:38 pm #576026Ok, as long as it will work with the JA university template, I’ll update to the most current T3 v.2.4.8.
I figure out the logo problem, thanks for your help. One more thing… at the beginning of the post yous said under T3v2 I can edit the template.css to change the text color:
div.logo-text h1 a { color: /*your color goes here*/;}
What if I want to change the theme color to a different color other than the 8 colors comes with this template (under T3 v3), can I still do that via template.css? Thanks for your help again!
Emily

July 2, 2015 at 9:16 pm #576155Saguaros,
After I follow the instruction to upgrade my T3 v2 to T3 (then make sure T3 is disabled from plugin).
I also uninstall the JA university template then reinstall the file that came with T3 package, now I have an odd problem:
my joomla administrator login screen background went form “blue” to “white”?! and when I try to save some changes in template managers it wouldn’t allow me to save anything but no errors either! Please help me take a look and give me some ideas, I followed everything and I’m at a lost now.
I’ll PM you the site info.
Please help! thanks!July 2, 2015 at 9:16 pm #642481Saguaros,
