Hello,
I really like ja_smashboard, but I need it to be cuztomized to my needs, such as adding a couple more different types of pages, and some additional module positions. Can someone please help me? I tried using the general “contact us” form twice, but nobody responded.
Perhaps I didn’t use the proper channel of communication?
Thank you.
Regards,
S.

Sorry but it’s not clear what you mean with <blockquote>I tried using the general “contact us” form twice, but nobody responded.</blockquote>
Maybe you are searching for a freelancer to hire for customizing your template ?

October 11, 2013 at 6:07 am #508701Hi josscool,
Thank you for sharing us your concern in using our JA Smashboard template. In this case, there are 2 tips you can refer to reach your requirement:
– Adding more type of pages ( Background images on different pages – do you mean that ? ) : http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/using-page-class-to-add-the-background-image-to-menu-items-page-on-t3-templates/
– Creating more module positions: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-create-new-module-position-updated/
As you know, the Joomlart support policies just cover the limited customization supports that our staff will assist JA members to handle by themself. And we will suggest you guys to work with experienced developer to take care of full website developments.
Anyways, lets try on our recommended links above and just feel free to ask us if you have any concerns on our JA products.
October 11, 2013 at 7:44 am #508713Hi Pavit,
Thank you for the response. I was referring to the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of this page (http://www.joomlart.com/forums/sendmessage.php).
I used that form to submit my question because my needs were beyond small requests such as those posted in this forum. I did read every question posted to the ja_smashboard forum (this forum) and since I didn’t find what I was looking for, I decided to contact you – the makers of the template. If you guys don’t provide such customization services, I can certainly understand that. I’ll try to find someone else.
Regards,
S.

December 20, 2013 at 12:19 am #516006Does any more documentation exist for the articles in Smashboard? I’d like to modify the appearance and cannot find how to add modules to the article popup.

December 20, 2013 at 2:58 am #516019Hi richnyc30,
Unfortunately, we do not have the documentation on adding a module position to article popup and truly this is really complicated customization task unless you are good at PHP and HTML.
The reason that on JA Smashboard template, our developer just define to display the article elements only (title, date info, content, integrated comments) on article popup view only. In addition, adding a new module position inside the article layout is more complicated than in the template block layout.
Another solution is using the Content – Load Module plugin of Joomla to display a module inside the article. You can refer this documentation to know the steps.
