March 19, 2007 at 10:47 am #216111You need to make sure you’re disabling the correct layers.
March 19, 2007 at 12:19 pm #216116Thank you, i disabled it but if i want to save it as logo-default.jpg or logo-hot.jpg or logo-natural.jpg there is always the blue default background. March 19, 2007 at 2:56 pm #216120In the PSD file you can see that you have some folder. By clicking on the arrow you can “expand” these folders. Expand the folder: “logo default”. In here you will see many layers. You can click on the “visibility” of each layer to “hide” or “show” each layer.
The text reflect layer is the 2nd from the bottom. ( named text reflect ) In the field to the far left you can just “click” to hide this layer. And BINGO! No text reflect.
I hope this answered your question?
In regards to the “blue” background, this is the bottom layer, cleverly named “back”.
By colouring this or tweaking the colours for this you can make this any colour you want!.
Photoshop can be difficult at times but after a while it is an excellent graphic tool.
March 19, 2007 at 6:09 pm #216123Actually maybe that’s easy for eric, but even I (not a novice, not a pro) Photoshop enthusiast, had problems.
Actually I think Joomlart team should have made 3 background in each of the 3 colors, this way the PSD is easy to customize….
My WORKAROUND was to find the header-bg.gif in the HOT folder (I’m using the Hot red color)….and copy/paste it into the existing logo.psd…..it’s too big, but if the bottom fits the bottom of the logo.psd image, then the grey shade will align perfectly when inserted into the template (inserted as logo-hot.jpg)…..
So all there is to it is to get the background from header-bg.gif and put whatever you want (text, images) on top of that.
I really wanted to upload my own new_logo.psd here, but the 189 KB exceeds the forum limit 🙁
So you can find it at http://joomla.solsikkehaven.dk for a limited time….(disregard all other files, just look for new_logo.psd)March 20, 2007 at 12:49 am #216138Thank you very much – its done 🙂
It would be nice if the Joomlart Team would make the PSD easier to customize for beginners 🙂Greetings from Germany, Holger
March 20, 2007 at 6:05 am #216145Actually I’m not a “beginner”, but I had problems with the background layer too. So I just made my own 🙂

Thank you very much Aushop, the background layers for logo area will be put into separate color folder in all the coming templates.

March 28, 2007 at 12:54 am #216643Is there a way to make the logo longer… so that it fills more of the top of the page. While I like all the white space it just seems too empty…
Thanks for a great template and I’m glad I joined!
