Of course, when it’s released there will be things you can do to manually change the colour but I’m not aware of any tools to automatically change the colour to a dark one at this time.

MiCCAS, you are aware that you can change the colors of the template? Under the members area of the template you can choose different colors for the template. However, not choose a “dark” style but a variation of 3 colors are available…

If you want it darker you can change the background here:

technically you can use a tile on it too by replacing

background: #FFFFFF;

with

background: url(../images/*insert-imagename*) repeat;

Then you can either replace

mainwrap-bg1.gif
mainwrap-bg2.gif
mainwrap-bg3.gif

with tiles using background: url(../images/*insert-imagename*) repeat;

with solid colors using: background: #FFFFFF;

or use a program like irfanview (open source photo editing program) and enhance the color on the mainwrap images. if you use irfanview just import the images, go to image/enhance, insert the rgb in the appropriate boxes. When you’re starting with a white image you’ll need to toggle the brightness setting all the way into the negative position to get the true rgb color you entered.

You can use this to adjust the colors on any image elements on any template. Free and simple;)

I tried this but no luck with ja_pollux. All I want is a black background on ja_pollux but I can’t seem to figure out how to do this.

I got the header bit (the wapper) but not the body. I’ve pasted the template_css.css below

Hi,
Thanks for your reply – it’s very much appreciated. I changed that, and have no references to #FFFFFF in the style sheet. I spent a whole day trying to fix this, and no luck. I put the latest version of template_css.css below.

When the page loads up it goes yellow for a split second then normal pale background. IS there another config file involved? If you can help I’d appreciate it.

I haven’t really looked at this code but are you sure there isn’t a background image that is white used here? That would explain why it doesn’t show in the code and why you cannot change it here. I would suggest to look to see if there is any white images or 1px files or similar which is white… Unfortunately I don’t have the time to go through the css and further, css isn’t my strong point alas…
