October 15, 2009 at 9:35 pm #145245Hi all,
I’m having some trouble with the dates in the “Most Read” and “Latest News” mods. The story titles post correctly, but the dates are way off. For example, three articles I published today had the right date in “Latest News,” but two of them are dated Nov. 11, 1999.
Same thing goes for “Most Read,” though only one date is correct. The other dates are from 2008 and 2006.
Anyone see something similar?
Also, is there any way to change the format? I didn’t see that option in the module settings. The dates now read: 15.10.09. I’d rather have something like 10/15/09.
Thanks much,
Dustin

Please try with my guider:
+ Open languageen-GBen-GB.ini file, find following code:
DATE_FORMAT_LC4=%d.%m.%y
and change to:
DATE_FORMAT_LC4=%d/%m/%y

October 19, 2009 at 6:56 pm #321010This worked great, though I still have an odd problem of seemingly random dates being set on stories. That has nothing to do with the formatting of the date, though. Thanks much!

November 12, 2009 at 6:23 pm #323424I also am having the same problem. I know how to change the formatting of the dates.
But everytime I make a new article, even if i set a custom date, the date that shows in the latest news module is 11-30-99.
If I open the article again and save it again the correct date starts showing…
Using the current version of JA_SanidineII_light and latest version of Joomla.
I didn’t notice the problem before I changed the language file…

January 8, 2010 at 9:46 pm #328743That’s a bug in the module, discussed here.
I’ve created a hacked JA Bulletine module, in which the bug is solved.1 user says Thank You to gray for this useful post
