    Hello Jooml*Art guys !

I would like to know how to manage translation of texts included in a template. I am not talking about the content but about items “in” the template, as the pathway for instance (“You are here :”).
I don’t want to only change from english to a single other language, but to automaticly change depending of the user language (those I enabled on my site).

I was able to deal with that with Joomla! 1.0.x but not now with Joomla! 1.5.x because the language management has changed a lot.

    Could you help me ?
    Thanks in anticipation

I am using Joomla! 1.5.4 and template Villadi (but I guess the solution would fit with any other template …)

GTranslate converts the template text to another language but bear in mind that it uses google’s translate portal in order to do this.

This means that the translation might not be correct.

However, I’ve never really used JoomFish but I believe if you’re looking for a translation tool – this one is to go for.

However, you need to add all translations in yourself or get somone to do it for you. In other words it does not use a translation portal and it doesn’t automatically translate everything for you.
