I am trying to decrease white space on the left of the names in the top menu so that I can fit in a few more items. I can’t find anything in the css file which would do this. I thought there would be a padding-left or margin-left which would affect it but nothing seems to work.
    Any ideas please?

i think he means which of these menu types are you using
1: Split Menu; 2: Son of Suckerfish Dropdown Menu; 3: Transmenu; 4: Moomenu

figure out which one you are using and then look for a css in the appropriate folder

    OK. I am using transmenu

Thanks for the pointers. With your help I solved it. It was in the ja-transmenuh.css file. I changed padding-left from 40px to 10px.
