March 29, 2010 at 5:56 pm #149943I wish to change the background image on the front page slideshow. the originals are all in folders under templates/ja_ores/images and then the color name. i tried replacing exact same sized image called “slideshow-bg.jpg” but it doesnt do anything.
any ideas?
thanks!
ps. i am new to joomlart, i am new to joomla too and this is my first forum post! :-[March 29, 2010 at 10:24 pm #338334I think you are in the correct folder, however you may want to press F5, refresh your browser or clean the cache on it and that should show the new image you’ve put in.
Hope that helps

Did you find a solution to this problem? I have the same problem.
I created a new background, same name, same size, same location in the file hiearchy, but still no change.
I have cleared the cache on my computer and brought up the site on a computer that hadn’t been to the site before, still the change does not show.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

April 5, 2010 at 3:27 pm #339193Hi Kyile,
It’s the .png file and not the .jpg file in the same directory which is the background. you need to create a transparency layered .png to create the simmilar effect else with a solid background the size will mess up depending on screen resolution.
if you need any help, lemme know (and ideally send me your link, and what image you want in the back). i can seperate the layers for you in png.
Cheers!

I just want to change the background colour of that slideshow area (I am using the green template). Where can I do this?Do I need to change an image or CSS?
Thanks.
