February 12, 2011 at 3:12 pm #160089I followed the instructions for Multi language…
Language pack – Installed
Content Language Installed
ALL modules and content (categories and articles) are duplicated, original ones are set to English.
Language Switcher module enabled
Plugin System Language Filter enabled.
I also duplicated Main Menu items…And everything is fine except one thing…
Default Home menu is set to ALL languages and I do not know hot to disable it. Now on English version I have Home twice…and on Serbian I have Home and then Translated Home.
How to disable default Home in the Main Menu and set Home Menu for each language?
Thank you!

February 14, 2011 at 7:23 am #376566Could it be that no one knows what is the module (and it’s position) that displays the Home menu in Ja Community Plus Template 1.6?
I love JoomlArt, but …Just about anything that could go wrong with this template, did go wrong.
I need this fixed now…

its main-nav block, and not a module position.

February 17, 2011 at 4:28 pm #377186So, appears that the main horizontal navigation is hard coded into the template, and is tied to the mainmenu menu.
http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=617&t=593608&p=2416115#p2416115
Does anybody know how to “UNhardcode” it and make it a module (and position)?

February 17, 2011 at 6:40 pm #377198It is only the position of the menu block that is hard coded. Please explain in detail exactly what you are trying to do so we can try and help further.

February 17, 2011 at 8:17 pm #377204I’m trying to build 2 language site. I need to have a mainmenu as a module in horizontal main navigation, so I can Unbublish the module containing default Home set to all languages, and insert new mainmenu modules for each language…mainmenuEN and mainmenuSR.
You have it all in link in my previous thread. I submited a ticket for this and now I have main horizontal navigation disabled and active on English version, but also disabled on Serbian version.

February 17, 2011 at 8:26 pm #377205Why are you not using one of the multi language tools out there to translate the wording for each menu item rather than trying to publish a different menu for each language?

February 17, 2011 at 9:18 pm #377215I’ve not tried it with the mega menu but how about – http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languages/multi-lingual-content/460?qh=YToxOntpOjA7czo4OiJqb29tZmlzaCI7fQ%3D%3D
I’ve note really experimented with multi language sites so I really am not the best person to advise. Hopefully someone else can pipe in.

February 17, 2011 at 10:51 pm #377225Sorry, didn’t notice you were using 1.6.
Hopefully someone else can help with multi languages because it is not something I have required before.

February 18, 2011 at 6:10 pm #377407Well, this should work since this template is made for Joomla! 1.6. However, there is a problem obviously in T3… I can’t repeat myself again, all is said previously in this post and the official Joomla post.
This remains an issue, and at the moment it’s really stoping site’s development.
