April 27, 2017 at 10:04 pm #1029450Hi,
Is there an option to set default sorting? Right now everything is sorted by ID beginning from 1. We would like to display latest items first instead or use category order by default. We would really appreciate your help! Thank you so much.P.S. if there is no such option yet, is there a way to do it manually by editing the code? Thanks!

May 4, 2017 at 10:46 am #1031115Thank you so much for looking into this!
Is there perhaps a temporary fix we can apply to show the latest items first? Perhaps we can add something somewhere to show everything in reverse order by default, so the latest items appear first? Having a sorting by article order would be ideal but even showing latest first would be a huge help.Thank you so much in advance!
P.S. We currently use the "#sortdir=desc" link to achieve that but it increases the loading time so much (we have 1000+ items) that the page looks empty for ~ 10+ seconds. And since there is no loading bar or any indication that something is loading the major section on our website looks empty to new visitors.

May 5, 2017 at 9:54 am #1031394Hi @darebee,
If you are using content filter, pls open file
plugins/jamegafilter/content/helper.php
go to line number 95 and change block code like the attachment bellow. You’ll get list item sorted by publish_up in descending order .
PS: For filter page that has many articles, we’re gonna add loading bar. Thanks for the notice.

May 5, 2017 at 10:13 am #1031404Awesome, thanks for this! Hopefully this gets implemented as an option in the next update so that this change doesn’t get overridden when updating. 🙂
