When I make changes on the administrative back-end, it takes quite some time for the changes to occur on the front-end. This topic may have been already covered but I didn’t seem to find a resolution to this issue in the forum.

For example, I replaced the social link icons with custom icons. It took a few hours for this change to occur. Then I tried to adjust the size of the icons but this change has yet to have taken place on the front-end. As stated, any changes do not occur right away. Any help would be appreciated.

Firstly please make sure that in the template manager all caches are disabled and your site is in development mode (all in the global tab). Then each time you make a change clear the Joomla caches and you should see your changes straight away. You also have a cache on your browser but refreshing the page with crtl+F5 will clear this.

Thanks for the quick tip! that resolved the problem…now, can you help with changing the background? 🙂 I followed the steps in a prior post but was unsuccessful in getting the bg to change.
