I have the same problem as mentioned in other forum posts on my website in that deleted articles appear in the category blog menu items.

If you click on this link and select the demo articles "And I didn’t even get an A in Geography" and "And I didn’t even get a bike" you’ll get a 404 error:
http://tallandtrue.com.au/fiction/

I know these articles are deleted, because I deleted them in the back end. I deleted a lot of other demo articles and had the same problem, so I went into phpMyAdmin and deleted the rows from the content table where state = -2.

Rather than have you log in a fix it, can you tell me what to do so I’ll know what to do if I have to make the configuration or code changes in the future?

BTW: I’ve also noticed draft articles have appeared in the featured articles on the home page and in the category blog menu items.

Hi Robert,

When you delete an article in admin panel, it will go to the Trashed box, pls delete it there also. Then make sure that you delete all the caches.

It should work.

Hi Saguaros,

Your solution worked with the deleted articles, thanks.

However, draft or "unpublished" articles still appear in the category blog menu items, as per My Budget Won’t Be Balanced; ‘Taxes Will Go Up’ under the Fiction menu:
http://www.tallandtrue.com.au/fiction/

I believe this may be a problem raised elsewhere with the template, but I can’t find the code fix.
