I (dont ask how or why) deleted the quote module from my Teline site. Is there any way to reinstall the module without reinstalling the whole template?
Thanks

I assume you did not physically remove (deleted) any php file?
If not, what happened is that you clicked the “Published/Unpublished” option for what are called “modules” — in this case the “A Quotation” module. Here’s what you do:
1. Go to your “administrator” directory, i.e., with this route path:
(your site) => administrator => Modules => Site Modules => (find the) “A Quotation” module in the list.
2. Check if there is a red “X” in the “Published” column for the “A Quotation” module. If there is a red “X” in the “Published” column, you have accidentally “Unpublished” the “A Quotation” module.
3. Just click the red “X” in the “Published” column for the “A Quotation” module and you should now see that the red “X” is gone and replaced with the other “squarish” publish_g.png icon.
That means that the “A Quotation” module. is now in “Published” mode again.4. Go back to your site page.
4a.) You have to click the “Reload” option of the browser (to remove the cached content of your page). Sometimes, you have to click “Reload” several times and/or “Empty” cache.4b.) If clicking the “Reload” and/or “Empty” cache do(es) not work, especially for certain browsers, like IE, you have to quit your browser. Find the “cache” directory of the browser, and be sure to delete all the files in the cache. Make sure you empty the Trash also.
4c.) Notes: I use Camino (for the Mac) and when I have used it for awhile (I usually have gazillon windows open), clicking the “Reload” several times and/or “Empty” cache do not work anymore. I had to do “4b.)” — quit my browser, and delete the contents of the cache directory and the rest of the steps in “4b.)”
I do not use IE anymore for the Mac, but there is this huge cache file in the IE cache directory. If you do not remove that (place in the Trash and empty Trash), the cached page will not disappear.
If all of the above won’t work, I cannot be of further help. I am just learning how to use Joomla myself.

If you have clicked on the toolbar delete button you have effectively removed the module.
Your chance is to reinstall the module, but I do not have this module in my ja-teline.
Are you sure it is not an extension module you have downloaded from exetnsions.joomla.org or another place?ErikThorsen FriendErikThorsen

August 23, 2007 at 9:01 pm #227952The “quotation” module you are referring to is a module with text added to it. It is NOT a quotation module per se. It means it cannot hold more than one quote at a time. You can create this again by clicking on “site modules and then click on “new” to create a new module. Put in whatever text you want into the module and style it appropriately using the “module suffix” and you are set to go. It is not a quotation module at all, just a plain, simple text module filled with some text and some module styling.
