I put a single header on a blank Builder page and Google Pagespeed fell to a dismal 70. I took a look at the page source and discovered a surprising 11 Roboto fonts loading that I didn’t need. (below) If I could prevent that, pages would load much faster and Pagespeed would be much better. I tried it again with a different block and the same problem.
Similarly, I don’t use font awesome or animation but they are still loading.
This one is really important, especially as Google is downrating sites that load too slowly. If there’s no fix built in, this really belongs near the top of the development process.

November 6, 2017 at 8:29 am #1072600I check the source of that page and see that it loads Roboto + Ubuntu google font and necessary files from builder (in media/jub folder)
May I know which file you want to remove?

As you can see from the page source here, it’s loading 11 weights of Roboto. There’s a similar problem when I load Ubuntu, where I only need 3 or 4 of the many weights.
It seriously slows down the page load, as Google Pagespeed noticed.
Thanks for helping

Thanks for following up. This one is important.
I wouldn’t have bought Builder if I had thought to check.
Running Google Pagespeed should have been one of the first things I did.

Thanks for following up and apologies for so many questions.
There are a lot of things in Builder that aren’t intuitive. -
