The first case is possible to have a different background color of the icon department?
You’re not the only background color as in the picture.

You can add to your templatesja_university_t3csscustom.css file this ;

.department-list ul.department-list li a {
background:#yourcolor!important;
}

If you do not yet have a custom.css file you can create a new one and add the suggested code.
