If this is possible I will be soooooo happy!

In the past I’ve had to duplicate entire Joomlart templates in order to have different sections of my site with that theme but with separate menu’s as allocated in the back-end template config….

Occured to me that with Halite’s powerful layout override option (in the back-end where you can set menu-IDs to pick up different layouts)…. it may be possible to provide a layout with a hard-coded menu ID?

So I could just have 1 core set of Halite files, and then create small custom layout blocks which hard-coded Menu ID’s? Does that make sense? Which block and bit of code would I tweak to get the template to pick up a Menu ID as set in that file rather than the one set in the template back-end config?
