this is the sample from the demo site.

and this one is from my localhost site.

problem here is
1) i cannot get the ja-news done like what demo site look likes. e.g. demo page got rotating images with a player bar (image/count) at the top.

2) why my “you are here:” and “home” are so different with the demo page?

i am using joomla 1.5.3

anyone please help me with this ?

i suggest you update to the latest joomla, and update the template and module to the latest.

Try to set Show Title to No and under Menu Assignment check Select Menu Item(s) from the list, set it to Home only.
And please post your site url?
