    This problem exists STILL, there are a lot of bugs that I’ve been finding lately like this one 😡

    This only happens when someone changes the text size.

    Workaround: Remove the resize text option

    ANY OTHER IDEAS!?

    Can you please answer some questions for me:
    1. Will these instructions work on localhost?
    2. I am using Janewsflash module of Ja Corona … do I need to perform the mods for “If you use Ja Newsflash module of JA Fagus for joomla 1.5″?
    3. I am not clear about what is the SEO component. Is this something I need to install? I am running Joomla 1.5.2. When I look in the Components menu, SEO is not listed. In global configuration, under SEO settings, I have turned SEF urls to yes.

    Hi
    1. you can use at localhost
    2. you can use Ja newsflash at Corona
    3. SEO component is extensions for joomla, you can only use core SEO of Joomla, don’t use SEO component

    Hi

    Please do yourself a favour and upgrade to Joomla 1.5.7. It doesn’t make sense to carry on using a well known vulnerable software.

    Just wanted to tell you that you might want to update your Joomla. 1.5.2 has security issues that allow someone to hack your website and change it. 🙂 It was a big headache for me.

    Thanks for the friendly reminder 🙂 This web site was started months ago and is still sitting on my localhost – but I have now upgraded. Sorry to hear you were hacked, how horrible.

    It is a hack flood these days, I already posted a reminder never to post live urls in the forum, so take care!!!

    Have tried all recommendations and tips/hints in this threat – but have the same problem like the others.
    First news flash works perfectly fine while for the rest I always receive “Direct Access to this location is not allowed”.

    Have done really everything:
    -> modified htaccess
    -> enabled/ disabled SEO (search engine frienly URLS yes / no)
    -> removed the text and size setting and left it default

    nothing helped ….

    I am having this problem still – I can’t seem to solve it – the images don’t want to appear once I click on any menu nav that changes the path.

    It works now:

    I have followed the modifications for ja-newsflashloader.php although I am using JA IRIS template:

    Just to repeat the instructions:

    You must edit ja-newsflashloader.php(modulesmod_janewsflashja_new sflash)

    1/
    Search those lines:
    ===============
    Quote:
    JPluginHelper::importPlugin(‘system’, null, false);
    // trigger the onStart events
    $mainframe->triggerEvent( ‘onStart’ );

    Remove or comment them

    2/
    And search those lines :
    ===================
    Quote:
    JPluginHelper::importPlugin(‘content’, null, false);
    $results = $mainframe->triggerEvent( ‘onPrepareContent’, array( &$row, &$params, null ), true );

    Remove or comment them

    3/
    And search this line :
    ================
    Quote:
    $access->canPublish = 0;

    Change to :
    Quote:
    $access->canPublish = 1;

    All o.k. on my page now !!!!
