How do I go about completely disabling janews2 and janews frontpage and getting the standard Joomla frontpage back without image resizing, etc?

Hello paulwallen,

Janews2 and Janews frontpage are modules. You can disable them in the Module Manager.
You can also disable two pugins in the Plugin Manager: JA Section menu plugin (jazin) and Content – JA Thumbnail ( plg_jathumbnail ).

Now in the Menu Manager you open the home-item in your main menu and change the configuration of your frontpage to what you want it to look like.
