February 15, 2011 at 10:50 am #160231In this project I am on this extension will not be fully used with all the gizmos there are. I have to drive down some issues.
Companies which need workers are still using the phone and fax here and pay when getting a paper bill.
I want to use this extension for a Customer which is offering Jobs and does not want to reveal Company Information on the Jobs which are offered.
This Information could be used by other simular Competitors and cause a losing the ad when Competitors apply for the Job with their own job-seekers. 😉So what I do not need on Profile Details is:
Business name: like – Urenco Joint Stock Company
Business type: like Private Organization
Logo / Photo:I still want that my Customer can use these information in the back-end. So the real data will be added but not shown on the frontpage for job-seekers.
Same with job-seekers filled applications which are all send to the one customer I am setting up this.
Hope You understand what I mean.
Regards

February 15, 2011 at 11:25 am #376794Hi Maikkeli,
Im sorry but I don’t understand it very clearly.
You would like to hide details from company profiles? There are some settings for different fields on the backend.
Lets assume you want to hide the business name.
Go to “Design and Customization” – Form customization. At the top dropdown, choose “Profile form”, next step is to edit the field “Business name”.
At the parameters section you have a field called: Display.
There you can choose different options to show or hide these information.I hope this is the solution you are looking for. But to be honest, I wouldn’t apply to any job without knowing the company behind it or their details to check.
How is he loosing the ad when competitors are sending their “own” jobseekers?Cheers

February 15, 2011 at 6:52 pm #376832Thank You Nick R!
As I said, I am not using this extension as it is designed to be. I want to hide the companies wich are seeking for workers.
We have a very hard competition and it would be very easy to loose a customer. There are other companies which are doing the same job as my customer and no-one of these simular companies are revealing the name of the employers.
Job seekers will be told, when they come for interview, on who is the company which is offering the opertunity.
Thats how it works here, until now.For Your advice on the other hand I have checked it out and its the way I like it. Until I recognized that I want to really hide the whole and complete “Company Profile”. How I do that ?
Same on Front when looking at “Latest Jobs” TAB
and disabling the next TAB called “Latest Employers” = completely offNick R JA JobBoardNick R

February 15, 2011 at 7:03 pm #376833Ah now i understand. You are doing something like an agency. This common in germany as well…
Right, what you could do is, just act like an agency. All job post are released from your company. As you are doing the interview as well, you should just take care of the job reference number which helps you to find the right company again.Let’s say you get a job from Sono (your customer), they are looking for a new secretary, their internal job reference number is IUK1234. Now you could make a new job posting and use their job number as reference.
In this way, noone will be able to see the company and you have the full control… Maybe this will work?
Cheers

June 14, 2013 at 2:52 am #495845Hi Serafine,
If you want to hide some fields in the Job Form, you can go to Form Customization >> edit the field which you want to hide >> change Display Mode as you wish.
Please refer to this documentation http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Job_Board_2.5/Administration#Forms_customization for more info.
If it does not help. You should edit in this layout file of that page components/com_jajobboard/views/jajobs/tmpl/jaform.php directly.

June 19, 2013 at 9:13 am #496258Yes, some fields need to be edited in the code directly and and you must make sure that you have disabled the required attribute of the field which you want to hide.
