I basically want to use the following picture attachment a layout.

I have tried the advice given here, http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-increase-width-right-column/ but I get an extended content pane and the left column is cut in half so only showing half the banners. Nothing published in right column so not sure why this would only work if I do the below.

I have managed to get it to work but only by publishing an empty mod into the ja-tabs user 6 position as shown in picture, and help greatly appreciated.

No not yet, The only way I can get one column on the right as per the image is to post something intoja_tabs as per picture, otherwise the column collapses to half width or normal width if you use both columns…

Its bit of an issue and a tricky one..

how about emptying left and right and transfer all to user 7?
