    you can entirely disable responsive layout for the site.

    Go to Administrator -> Extensions -> template Manager -> JA Template -> General Tab -> set Responsive to OFF.

    Thats it, No more responsive template on your site.

    When I set responsive to OFF … it changed the look of my website … what I want is when you look at the site via a cell phone it would say something like – this site is best viewed online … is that possible?

    you need to create a module position and hide it in all tablet and wide screen. Enable the position in small mobile screen in the template.

    then you can add a custom html module to show the content you like only on mobile devices.
