January 30, 2008 at 7:08 am #237658True but JA should keep their word. (And they should be more careful with what they say because if they don’t follow through users will complain.)

January 30, 2008 at 8:01 am #237673Hi guyz,
Please check the first post of Hung Dinh for list of updated templates.

You guyz are right. As a supporter of JA, I always wanted those packages deliver to you and others on time and absolutely bugs free. I can see these days, JA Developer team working hard to done each packages very carefully, testing many times before updated, so you can belive for the stable and best quallity in this release. I bet you guyz will agree with me that we need a stable and working smoothly package than a package put out in rush.January 30, 2008 at 8:15 am #237675Thank you for so quickly updating so many templates. I appreciate it. I was a programmer so I understand how long it can take to update and the of course do bug checking.
I am amazed you could update them so quickly.
I know you tried to update all of them by Jan 30 but of course programming code ALWAYS takes longer than you plan. When I was in computer science in college we all knew that! Most companies don’t get their programs out as soon as they announce they planned. That is a known fact. I am surprised you got so many done so fast! Some of you must be working round the clock.
thanks for all the hard work,
Good luck!
pamelaJanuary 31, 2008 at 12:04 pm #237802Could you please remove the module suffix -hilite on the Default Joomla! menu’s Advance Parameters? of the quickstart for JA FAGUS
It renders the module in “Bright Green” hilite. 🙂Thanks for the quickstart. It was a pain to get the same look and feel of the quickstart demo earlier.
January 31, 2008 at 2:18 pm #237819Hello,
I saw by chance this thread!
Why not communicate on the front page?
Possibly a survey to find out the wishes of updating the templates? My Wish unplanned:
Ja Senecio
JA PoluxThank you for all this work
Suggestion: Would it not time to oganiser templates per year because it is difficult to find a template by date!
JA Teline; why not put a real module [new listings: # Latest News, # Popular, # Newsflash

This is a follow up to once again suggest another thread for the templates that are no longer in Beta. Also the J1.5 template forums should be separated from the J1.0 template forums. It is starting to become a little confusing as no one is separating the posts by Joomla version. This will create a lot of very unusual problems that would not happen if they were separated.
January 31, 2008 at 6:59 pm #237841One more vote for Bellatrix. Sorry for the pressure but the paying customers’ web admins are under pressure too. Yesterday, my supervisor found out that Joomla 1.5 is out and said he wanted our (Bellatrix) site migrated in “1-1/2 hours”! Of course I had to disappoint him. Now he’s grumbling that we shouldn’t have bought Bellatrix to begin with (not my opinion, but it’s out there).

Your Boss may become more disappointed with you when you use a beta version, and then it turns out, there are issues that have yet to be resolved.
February 3, 2008 at 6:41 am #238042I think some people here have missed the point.
To make an announcement giving specific dates when updated templates will be available tells the end customer when he/she will be able to make use of the new joomla system. Perhaps there are new or updated features of 1.5 that will make life easier for the end user? I for one am looking forward to the in-built FTP options for adding MODS etc…
Then to change the time frame is un-acceptable, un-professional, its that simple…
Today is the 4th of Feb (GMT) and still no update for the Template I am using. So something I had personally planned to do 6 days ago is on the back burner.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand the time that goes into updating the templates, I too have coded and performed updates on various systems. But that doesn’t change the deadline given…
Perhaps next time don’t be so quick to give dates.

February 4, 2008 at 3:37 pm #238185… just one thing:
I appreciate a lot that the “old” templates are being updated to 1.5 stable, but better take your time and do some more testing.
I purchased my subscription after confirming with Michael C. that there is a working 1.5 package for Fagus.
Meanwhile I found out that at least the quickstart packages for Fagus, Avian II (starts in legacy mode, btw) and Erica get completely screwed up as soon as you enable SEF URLs.
So basically none of the 1.5 packages can be used “out of the box”, only a manual install of the template into a regular Joomla-install works.Would appreciate a solution soon. Using SEF is not such an outer-space feature and could be expected to work with a commercial template without hassles… and quickstart packs should speed things up and not make them more complicated, right? 😉
Is anyone here using one of the updated 1.5 quickstart packs and could confirm if they have the same prob or did anyone get SEF working with one of the recently released packs?
February 4, 2008 at 10:39 pm #238204(changed my post here ) I had just about given up waiting for Teline or other news type templates to be updated to 1.5 but maybe the new template Barite will fit what I need. I will need to add all the extensions from the other templates but that is okay. I was prepared to do that anyway.
Very nice template. I really don’t want to set up a new site with Joomla 1.x and later have to update to Joomla 1.5. There are new extensions for 1.5 that I need.
Thanks everyone,
