    Don’t forget that the initial release of these templates are BETA Versions.

    I tried USING SEF and it DID NOT work. I used the new Barite quickstart and the SEF did not work. Thanks for letting me know there might be a work around.

    So IF you install Joomla 1.5 first and then apply the template the SEF works? That would be nice. I prefer that.

    Actually, Joomlart is working faster at updating pre-existing templates or older templates to 1.5 than some other template sites I have visited. Some are taking a poll to determine which ONE first.

    It is a lot of work and as Bgrik says – they will be in beta which makes sense. Joomla 1.5 was a complete rewrite.

    Thanks,
    pamela

    Hi all,
    As you can see from my first post of this thread, we have tried to updated some of the templates. However during the conversion process there have been more difficulties than we expected. The following schedule will now have to reschedule after the Lunar New Year holiday

    <blockquote>
    And from 29th Jan – 5th Feb 08, the following templates will be updated

    1. JA Teline
    2. JA Xenia II
    3. JA Quillaja
    4. JA Nerine
    5. JA Olyra
    </blockquote>

    It is not a good excuse but we have tried our best for the conversion and still have to spend time on the new design JA Barite. Thank you for your understanding.

    Version changes are a pain in the butt, everyone knows that and a couple of bugs are ok – as long as they are actively hunted down and fixed and as long as there is honest communication or any communication at all…

    When you guys brush up the converted packages – could you please have a look at the SEF problem with the quickstart packages? I described the problem in detail in the Fagus section, but it applies to all current 1.5 quickstart packages I have tested so far…

    Thanks!

    Can you do me a favour and try replacing the ja_barite index.php file with the one I’ve attached.. let me know if it fixes the SEF issues.

    If it does, please send me a PM or email and I will fix all of the packages.

    I am terribly sorry for the delay, please accept my personal apologies.

    …Barite is one of the few templates I dislike and therefor did not test. Just tried your index.php with Fagus, Erica and Avian II and it gives me a “restricted access” when replacing the index.php in the root dir with it, and a clean blank page when replacing the index.php in the template dir…
    Next try please 😉

    Hi Bigrk,
    In fact, we are just about 40 minutes away from the New Year at the time of this post.
    The holiday is announced here

    … so, problems set aside, and: a great and prosperous new year to everyone! 😉
    (btw – the announcement may cause irritations because we have February, not Jan… 😉 )
