another thing:
at least in my account panel, when i view it with Firefox, the tiny tooltips which explain some special conditions do not expand fully (=are partly hidden by the div thats below them.). I did not check this out with IE, but i expect the worst. As a result, users are unable to properly and fully inform themselves in regard to domain licence conditions and copyright removal conditions. in the light of the above, this is beginning to add up…

A friend of mine signed up for the 1 year developer package yesterday because he thought that no other package would grant him the right to remove copyrights. Nice huh ?
Actually, this is how this whole subject started off for me, as he called me up to tell me that i should watch it with the copyrights on my JATC Standart Package, upon which wereviewed my account. Apparently he mixed up the ‘details’ regarding the Extensions Club packages with those of the JATC Standart package.

Ah, and the ‘compare packages’ link these days leads to a page that merely displays some stats on how often packages were bought, and no info regarding details on nr. of templates and copyright removal (Firefox) ? :laugh:

Perhaps important details should be stated more clearly on the sales and account pages ?

Small wonder noone wants a call home function if not even the simple stuff is set up properly/transparently.

I am hereby ‘calling home’ in need of some feedback ..

I renewed a couple of months ago and it says in the domain panel that I can add up to 6 domains (the original 3 +3 for renewal)

😀 Currently it says (as of when I checked 30 seconds ago) I can have a total of 6 domains (JATC Standard Membership – 1 year)

almost seems like that someone saw these posts and fixed the issue…(….but didn’t find it worthwhile to comment upon …. strange… )

My renewal is up in December so unless we have absolute clear information about what we are going to get and what is (has) been taken away from us i will not be renewing.

As for extensions they were free with your membership i am sure i have downloaded one or two but like you say now they are not. seems they give 5 in one hand and take 10 away in the other.

Must be the slow down in the economy eveyone is out to get more money out you for one thing or another

I am waiting for the second template for October, as there are supposed to be two per month until October 2009. This has been promised explicitely. When can we expect the second one?

Ok posting this here as JA refuses to respond to PM’s and E-mails or in the topic in my signature.

Firstly i want to quote Hung Dinh out of the important changes in the JA templates Club.

“II. Licenses & Domains management.

These licenses system as well as template version management are not currently inline with the way we deliver our templates and do not allow us to provide the same high level of service to our customers. With the current licensed domain management customers find hard to add, edit or change the license for their domains.

From September 2008 (or earlier), a new license & domain management system will be introduced. You will not have to add domains to the license system.It will automatically be registered once you install the template.

III. Impacts of changes to current members.
Such changes will have no impact or will not create any unfavourable situation for current members.”

Now i want to quote Hung Dinh out of the following topic (read whole tread for further info)
“We are sorry that non-profit domains are no longer offered on JoomlArt. For the templates you already used for non-profit organizations, they are still effective under your membership on JoomlArt. However, you are not allowed to add new non-profit domains.”

I’m sorry but this is a change that has impact to current members and is surely unfavourable situation for some members including myself.
