May 31, 2012 at 4:20 pm #177722Hi,
I create an article, I set it to “en vedette” (or star) and I publish it but no article is displayed on my home page.
Do I have to use a component to be able to display my article on the home page?
Not sure if this question is specially related to puresite templates or joomlart templates, or if this is just a joomla configuration think.
Thanks in advance for any replypavit Moderatorpavit

May 31, 2012 at 4:45 pm #455544Hi
The quickstart version of ja_puresite is using for the Home page the item Featured articles so it will display all articles marked as featured
and there is no problem showing these articles in the home
How is created your article ? is it featured ? have you changed the Home Item type ?

If you look at the quickstart home page, I think there are no articles displayed, just components (features, journal, work, etc…).

… so it will display all articles marked as featured and there is no problem showing these articles in the home

it is not really working like that for me.
I did not change the home page style (or any other parameter), just rename it.
I have created my articles as “featured” but they do not display on the home page.
The only way I have found for displaying a text on the home page is to create a custom component and type my text there.
I do not understand what is happening 🙁pavit Moderatorpavit

Your Home page is using the Home profile that has the Hide Main content block to Yes change this setting or enable another Layout to have your content showed in Home Page
I hope was clear

June 1, 2012 at 2:34 pm #455634Hi,
I have changed the content block settings as suggested and indeed it works now.
However, I have another problem now.
I can not define the position where the articles will be displayed.
I can manage the positions when there are only articles.
I can manage the positions when there are only components.
But when there are articles and components, the articles are always displayed after the components :((What i exactly would like to do on home page is shown on attached image:
