    Hi,

Can you please disable JS and CSS optimization from template settings and see if that helps you? Also can you please confirm that you don’t have joomla cache plugin enabled?

    Regards

My site is also not looking right in IE. It is using the T3 logo and not displaying correctly at all. My system cache is not enabled and my CSS and JS optimization is off. http://www.theattorneyslounge.com. any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

In your case i guess you should try the opposite (i know it will work it’s acting different on some hosting environments and i can only guess right now that it has to do with server specific configurations )

Thanks. I turned it on and it seemed to work. I am still getting an error in IE though.

    Hi,

I have visited your site again and also i have accessed the back end and i saw that you have a lot of 3rd party components and plugins. Some of them are causing conflicts etc.

Please try to disable SEF for your site and check if that helps you out with the problem you are facing on IE 9 although now i can see your website working on IE.

    Regards

How do I find which are causing conflicts and how do I go about fixing them. I would hate to lose features like that based on conflicts.

    Hi,

In most cases the JS or CSS conflicts are hard to debug on a web site. Unfortunately there isn’t any easy way to achieve this, please try to read on those links and you will find some very useful information that eventually will help you to debug your web site.

Have you seen those forum threads over here -> WEB DEVELOPMENT TOOL ESSENTIALS – Design Like A Pro
and also an other very interesting will be this one -> USING FIREBUG to CUSTOMIZE YOUR SITE

Thank you for your assistance today. It seems to be working ok with the caching. I am a little concerned about not using SEFs. Any way to use them? Also any advice on how to speed up the site even with all the 3rd party plugins?

    Hi,

To decrease the page load time of you site depends on many factors, can you please let me know if this is on shared hosting or VPS or Dedicated server ?

Also is this on a linux server ? For the SEF to make it work there are several steps, please let me first know about the server type and then i can guide you on how to enable them.

I use bluehost.com to host the site.

    Hi,

Since you are on a shared hosting there are not much you can do. Specially if you have (which appears to be an issue on your website also) many components and addons.

Every component you are adding usually adds some more queries to your joomla installation and that increases the need of RAM and CPU power for server. On a shared hosting environment your resources are very limited so this is most probably a case.

You can try to use GZip on your website if it’s installed on your web server, if you are unsuere if this function is unsupported by your server you can always ask your host to provide you with that information.

Also you can ask your host if mod_rewrite is supported on your web server and if so then you can rename the original joomla htaccess.txt file to .htaccess (there is a dot in front of the file name) and then you can use SEF url on your website.

    Regards
