I have a question regarding displaying several tabs that use the same module type name. The module I am trying to use is mod_Wrapper. However, the jatabs uses the module type instead of the module name so I am unable to display several different mod_wrappers?
I have tried to create new wrappers and copy wrappers in the module section but they always come with the same module type.
Is there any way around this?
Ideally I want to have two tabs that slide between a window showing two different web sites in a frame.

March 27, 2009 at 6:41 pm #298552Got a URL so we can see what’s going on?
John.March 28, 2009 at 12:57 am #298615It’s not on the site yet because it won’t display properly. Maybe this code will help. My goal is to display two mod_Wrapper modules in ja_tabs. One called Wowhead, the other called Thottbot. The problem is that both modules are mod_Wrapper name types.
For instance,
{jatabs type=”module” modulename=”mod_Wrapper, mod_Wrapper”
position=”user6″ width=”600″ height=”500″
mousetype=”click”
animType=”animFade”
skipAnim=”false”
duration=1000 }{/jatabs}The part in bold is giving me trouble, I would like to display Wowhead and Thottbot however those are the module names, the module type of both are mod_Wrapper. Any way around this?

March 28, 2009 at 7:04 pm #298728You can change the names of the Modules in the EXTENTIONS > MODULES area.
Just make a “copy” of mod_Wrapper…and then open it and rename it.
I think a lot of people forget you are not stuck with just a limited number of modules. You can make as many copies of modules as you want. Changing the name of a module does not affect its functionality.
For instance, say you want to display the “User Menu” module in the user1 position in some pages…and in user 4 in others. You simply make a copy of the User Menu…and inside each module set the pages you want them to appear independently from one another.
Hope this helps,
John.March 29, 2009 at 3:45 am #298794Thanks for your help however the problem is that ja_tabs does not use the module title, it uses the module type.
For example, in module mode ja_tabs would use the module type rather than the Title.
Module Type: mod_wrapper
Title: Thottbot
Show Title: No Yes
Enabled: No Yes
Description: This Module shows an iframe window to specified location.The easiest way around this would be to rename the module type, however I have been unable to find a way to easily do so.

March 29, 2009 at 3:53 pm #298878Let’s see…if memory serves…and if it doesn’t someone here I’m sure will correct me….
JA-Tabs is a two step process:
1. You set the JA_Tabs module to the position where you want the tabs module to appear. (UserX, etc.)
2. Then, the modules you want to appear in JA_Tabs you set to position “JA_Tabs” (not UserX, etc.)…and I really believe I remember the title of the child modules is what appears in the tab.I’m not an Extentions subscriber, but from using JA_Tabs which come with other templates, I really believe this is how it works. If it is not working for you like this, then perhaps someone who is a Extentions subscriber can help.
Good luck,

Using 3500 of your current credits to redeem a developer membership you can also get into the extensions directories. But I don’t know if you may get better info for real, the userguides are all the same it seems.;)

You have to hard copy and rename the modules in the core files. So you would go to your FTP and copy mod_wrapper and rename to something else. Then open up your new mod and rename all paths to ‘mod_wrapper’ to your new name.
So you would then have jatabs type=”module” modulename=”mod_Wrapper, mod_NewName”

April 9, 2009 at 12:30 pm #300693why don’t simply use the moduleposition?
