    Hi,
    When the page loads, I can see a DISQUS loading image, but the space stays blank..
    http://www.64connections.com/initiatives/Initiatives/1-initiatives-64-connections.html

    I’m using DISQUS on JA VOICE Component on a Joomla 2.5.20 website.

    Any idea on what could be wrong here ?
    Hoping for answers,
    Best regards,
    David aka Shapes

    Please double-check your Super User credentials you submitted to us. They seem to be wrong as I couldn’t login into your backend.

    Regards,

    Hi David,

    Judging by what Disqus.com themselves say about the error “Disqus seems to be taking longer than usual. Reload?”:

    =================
    This error message occurs when Disqus has taken more than 10 seconds to load. This can be caused by several different factors:

    – slow browser plugins

    – your internet connection speed

    – additional scripts loading on the page

    – speed of the server hosting the website in question
    ==============================

    your site most likely suffers from Disqus connection timeout.

    Please have a look at your offending page http://www.64connections.com/initiatives/Initiatives/1-initiatives-64-connections.html load time, I tested at gtmetrix.com and you will see that this test does confirm that the offending page’ and the rest of the web-site load time is regularly over 10 seconds indeed:

    There you have your culprit.

    Regards

    Alex

    Hi,

    Thanks for your answer, on my side site seem pretty fast..

    I also contacted the DISQUS team, their answer is :

    “Thanks for reaching out to us. We reviewed the link provided and it looks as though you’re trying to generate a thread using a relative (partial) URL.

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/domuut8cz9m6689/Screenshot%202014-05-08%2015.18.46.png

    Try using a full URL, in this case (http://www.64connections.com/initiatives/Initiatives/1-initiatives-64-connections.html), and let us know if this resolves your issue.”

    Could this be the trick ?

    Best regards,
    David aka Shapes
