hello based upon the diaqus directions can someone provide assistance as to how to create the disqus dark theme ?

That guide only mentions how to override the color for theme. You will need to have some knowledge about CSS and use the web inspector or Firebug (in Firefox) and style for disqus.

And to override css for our template, we recommend you to create a new CSS file called custom.css in this directory: /templates/ja_template/css/ and add your custom css code into this new file.
