Hi JA nice team,
I’ve 3 weeks trying to make site like JA Teline IV demo, and still face problems
I’ve installed quick start package and tried to understand the behavior of the extensions shipped with the template,
and still face problems i.e. with JA tabs, news_fp, just example. :((

I’ve read the following similar threads, and didn’t find answers fro my questions:
– Starting with JA TELINE IV demo site – I any database/SQL file available ?
– JA Teline IV quickstart and additional extension for demo site
– Want a fresh Joomla site like Teline Demo? – Including 500 Internal Server RESOLUTION
– Cloning the teline II demo to be used on my site
but, didn’t find help

While searching, I found this demo:

and want to make like it, or at least like the official demo for Tline IV,
I want to make it on fresh DB, not depending on quick start DB,

I made some front page articles, installed mod_news_fp, the articles appeared like the demo, then, switched the ( hide main content block ) to YES, and the horizontal nav menu appeared, – after consuming a day searching and trying -, but when i click any article, no thing happen ..!! , the link in the browser changes, but no change in the site >:(

and have many problems

Need your advice, please

Teline is one of the most complex templates of joomlart. for a look like demo, you should install the quickstart package and then edit everything in order to suit your needs.

Even I was unable to make it like demo so that installed quickstart and edited everything as I like, changef the positions of some modules, etc and now it is as I want it to be.

Don’t bother to install quickstart and then, if you need assistance & help, ask here and we all will help you. Teline is very complex and with a clean install you will have much more work than editing the quickstart package to make your site just like demo.

Hi cyprusmedya, thank you for interest and replay.

I’ve installed the quick start package, and tried testing it, change positions, play with content, …
I started experiencing the template.

I’ve read the most threads in the template forum and get some help.

As start, how can i solve this issue:

I made some front page articles, installed mod_news_fp, the articles appeared like the demo, then, switched the ( hide main content block ) to YES, and the horizontal nav menu appeared, – after consuming a day searching and trying -, but when i click any article, no thing happen ..!! , the link in the browser changes, but no change in the site.

I use J! 1.5.23, and downloaded the Tline IV template before 10 days from JA website. ( most recent updated )
Hope i find help, which is highly appreciated .

after changing any article or module, just clean your cache and disable cache from general configuration, disable cache of ja news fp. this may help you. in any problem please give live site link so we can help you more properly. without live site link we cannot see what exactly the problem is.

I’ve stopped the cache, and no change..! When i click any article ( say in new_fp ), no change happen to the page..!

I’m working on local server, so i can’t provide link.

okay, can you give some screenshots?

and why you installed mod news-fp, it comes installed within quickstart package. may your problem be because of duplication of module?

or is it a different module? please tell me which news-fp module you installed?

Hello,
I’ve installed the quick start for experiencing the template.
Now, i’m installing fresh J!1.5.23 – with no sample data, TeLine IV template as default.
and then installed the extensions.
Try to make my special content (sections, categories, articles, images .. ).

My site doesn’t depend on the quick start package.

Now, I used some modules, spread them in some positions, and working with the template.

Attached a screenshot for the webpage before clicking article, and other when i click on any article, some strange layout ..!

Another questions please,
For the images appear in the front page ( through mod_new_fp ), does it need a specific size of alignment or any other factor?
in some articles, it doesn’t get right, and in some cases it goes very well.

ok i see the problem. please can you check the html code of articles displayed on ja news-fp? and please use the cleanup messy code button to clean any unnecessary code that may be inside the article. see attachment about how to do this.

this errors may be occurring because there is some code inside the article. and, a tip about ja news fp, don’t use any formatting simply write the text and save the article. this will prevent lots of errors to happen.

Hi,
I checked the HTML code of the article, no strange code there ..!
I was use JCE-Editor, checked HTML in it, then moved to TinyMCE-Editor, the same result.
When i click any article, the same problem happen.

The 1st image i attached in the previous post have 3 problems, pointed to them in squares:
1) on the left, strange block moved out of page borders.. how can i fix that?
2) Strange code in the article, in the news_fp module..
3) The main content block which is strange layout..!

All these happened after clicking any article.

I think the clue to fix this bad layout comes through FrontPage parameters.. may be :((

another solution is to uninstall the module and install it again. the problem may have caused because of the RTL? switch to LTR direction to see if anything changes.

changing the direction of the template didn’t help.
but i’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the mod_janews_fp, it worked, nice..!
the layout was fixed, it’s amazing

but when i click any article in the ja tabs or ja news_fp, no thing change in the page, as if i didnt clicked ..! 😎

How can i fix that?
I’ll check the menu assignments

check also the aliases of articles maybe problem is because of aliases? if there was live site link, i would be able to tell you exactly what is causing the problem, but since you work on localhost, i am only assuming..
