After installation of the Social template with CloudAccess.net staff help, I tried to navigate around to change the settings. However, I wastotally stuck. I looked at what Hung Dinh posted but they were of no help. I tried searching around for the quickstart he mentioned but there is just too many links floating.
Help, anyone?

April 13, 2013 at 2:27 pm #489754Hi Pavit,
I checked the userguide and found it to be useless. It showed pictures and insufficient instructions.
I am having problem which I have stated in my first post, which is that I want to change the interface to what I want, but there is so many stuff in the backend that I am not sure which one is one and the userguide just showed pictures without instructions.

Well i need to say that many people find that userguides really helpful instead.
Anyway, are you familiar with Joomla settings ? or your problems are related to the JaT3 Framework ?
Could you be more detailed in your questions? So we can be of more help.
April 14, 2013 at 3:07 am #489791I aren’t familiar with Joomla settings. And I have no idea what’s JaT3 Framework.
I am seriously lost once I log in the backend administrator site.:-[
Any idea how to help lost sheep like me?
Thank you in advance.

Then you have to choose between two options based on your requirement
1) You need to have your website active and working for your company soon
Then i can suggest to hire a joomla developer and give him the requirememnts for your new website
2) You want to start to learn Joomla and T3 Framework to become able to set your websites on your own
Then you can start to read Joomla Documentation HERE and T3 Framework documentation HERE
It’s up to you

In my opinion, if I need to hire a Joomla developer, I might as well get it from the start. My point being, I subscript to this template club as I thought it would be easy to change settings after downloading the template but I was wrong…there are so many stuff in there that are so alien to me.
April 14, 2013 at 5:09 am #489796Thank you for the link, I am taking a look at it now.
So stress over this…as I am holding on to a full time job as well…time is very limited.

Can the typography, features and K2 categories be replace with our own “settings” such as changing it to Games and Food section. If they are replace, their function will cease to exist or will still operate ?

Yes you can change the K2 Category name, this will not affect anything on the website
Typography style will remain the same for that category – so you can change Category name – Category articles (items) name and content

Where do I find typography function at the backend? And at the “Menu” section, there is “About Joomla” and “Fruit shop”. I have no idea “About Joomla” is linking to where since I couldn’t find it on my website. And there’s the fruit shop and Australian Park as well 0_0

The Typography menu item is pointing to an article called Typography where is showed all the typo you can use in your articles.
<blockquote>And have no idea whats the fruit shop and Australian park.</blockquote>
That’s are menu and are there because they belong to the joomla core if you don’t need them simply remove
The menu you need for your Ja_Social template is the Main Menu
