I wanted to use JA K2 Search to allow the user to filter articles by 2 extra fields and not use a keyword input box. When doing this though, the search results page seems to show ‘custom search’ in the keywords box and as a result, the actual search results show any article that has the words, ‘custom’ and ‘search’ within them so not a very good filtering!

Can someone please tell me how I fix this? I have read quite a few forum posts on here but haven’t really seen the answer.

Also, if a user does a search using the drop down filter, when they go back to the page that has the module, the filter is still set at the last search option – I want it to be reset back to ‘Any…’ (the top option). Not sure how to go about this either.

    Thanks,
    Jenny

Thanks for helping but we had to go live and as the issue wasn’t resolved we decided not to use the search filter module in the end. However we do plan on using it in the future so I’ll keep you posted if/when that is!
    Regards,
    Jennifer.
