Hi i am a bit puzzled at the moment. I have a site that i am working on http://www.cheapflightsgatwick.com and it seems that it is doing its own friendly urls without having a sef404 component installed. Can anyone let me know how this is happening and also how to get rid of the sections that it is showing, for example

    http://www.cheapflightsgatwick.com/index.php/travel/145-travel-news/469-monarch-opens-base-at-east-midlands-airport

i do not want to have the index.php and i also do not want to have the 145 tavel news, and i also do not want to have 469 infront of the monarch, can anyone please help with this

    Hi,
This is standard Joomla SEF that’s enabled from your Global Configuration settings.
As for the numbers in the links i am afraid that Joomla doesn’t natively support that, you will have to try a 3rd party component.
Also for the index.php on the link that’s because mod rewrite is not enabled in your settings, but before you enable that you must make sure that mod_rewrite is enabled by your host.

    Regards
