February 7, 2011 at 12:59 pm #159852Within IE, I receive the message ‘Done, but with errors on page’. This message doesn’t show with Firfox.
When I click on the yellow triangle in front of the message, the following details are shown:
=====
User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET4.0C)
Timestamp: Sun, 6 Feb 2011 11:42:33 UTCMessage: ‘Drag.Base’ is null or not an object
Line: 451
Char: 1
Code: 0
URI: http://www.maasshuttles.nl/templates/ja_purity_ii/js/ja.ddmod.js
=====On this forum, I found several bits and pieces referring to the same message. Some of those refer to Mootools as being the cause of the error. But none of these describe a solution. I’m running Joomla 1.5.22.
What could be wrong? And how di I fix that?

February 7, 2011 at 1:08 pm #375387ya, I have also gone thorugh this problem.. and the procedure which I found to fix this problem is only by firstly open Internet Explorer and then Navigate to the “Tools” menu and click “Internet Options.” This will bring up the “Internet Options” dialog box.
Click on the “Advanced” tab and check “Disable script debugging(Internet Explorer)” and “Disable script debugging(other)”.Click “OK” to make sure the changes will be applied the web browser. Internet Explorer script debugging will be disabled, which will fix most common error messages in Internet Explorer….
Thanks & Regards !!!

:)</blockquote>Thanks for the quick response.
Both options are checked. And the error remains. To my knowledge, the only thing that would affect these changes is the pop-up message.
So when checked, no pop-up message is shown. The yellow sign in the bottem stays.dunglq Frienddunglq

Hi,
I checked your site and see you are using both mootools and jquery. Plz make sure with using jquery, you change all $ to jQuery (with function using $ for jquery).

Mmm – I’m not a programmer. So bare with me.
I’m not aware of using Mootools and jquery.
Or more precise, I looked for certain functions and features available with modules, plugins, etc.
Than I followed the installation and usage instructions that came with the ‘product’.So if there is a conflict between these two, I don’t know what to look for.
Let alone make changes to make things work. The site as it is works purely on plugins, modules, etc.
No scripting or programming was done. With that in mind, could you give me an example of such a change?

March 3, 2011 at 4:08 pm #379508Guys,
I’ve got a site that I believe this is happening with…
http://www.visualedge.biz/dfwcgi2
However, I have installed a few plugins and modules…I have no idea which is which regarding mootools and jquery…it would be great if I could get some clarification…then I might be able to at least delete modules using jquery or whatever…
Thanks in advance,
tm

March 3, 2011 at 4:53 pm #379512Hey Tim
I checked your site in IE:9 and it doesn’t display the slideshow images. I then turned on the script debugging and rechecked. Here’s the list of Js problemsSCRIPT5007: Unable to get value of the property ‘extend’: object is null or undefined
ja.ddmod.js, line 451 character 1
SCRIPT5022: DOM Exception: INVALID_CHARACTER_ERR (5)
mootools.js, line 1 character 21432
Refresh the page to see messages that may have occurred before the F12 tools were opened.
SCRIPT5022: DOM Exception: INVALID_CHARACTER_ERR (5)
mootools.js, line 1 character 21432
SCRIPT65535: Invalid calling object
dfwcgi2, line 72 character 4
SCRIPT65535: Invalid calling object
script block (7), line 72 character 4works fine in FF as we would expect 🙂
Hope a JA dev can tell what is throwing the slideshow into errors
hope this has been of some assistance

March 3, 2011 at 5:10 pm #379514Shane,
Thanks- I’m not sure this is the right solution – meaning this template with K2. I believe a few of those issues are because the slideshow is k2 and not the out of the box on from JA…
Doing a test on http://joomlaperformance.com/ did not produce favorable results at all. I’m using RASITE along with K2 modules.
March 3, 2011 at 5:37 pm #379520I am getting some of the same errors mentioned originally on all of my pages. check http://cmc003.ca

August 12, 2011 at 3:54 am #405830Hi descobrir
Are you sure that you are using latest version of JA Purity? If not, please upgrade new version of JA Purity.

Well, I’m using version 1.2.0.
I just realized there is a version 1.2.1 available! In your opinion upgrading will solve my problem?
…Because I’ve made some minor changes to template… so I’m just seeing the work I’ll have again!
